We worked to build Ender V2 printers from the box, on the left is a picture of me working on the printer.
This cube is from Thingiverse, used to test what the printer can handle.
This is the cube that I made on SolidWorks to test what the printer an handle.

Here is one link of the chain as a model on SolidWorks
Then, using an assembly, the link was copied using a linear pattern, measured precisely to line up the hole.
A side view of this assembly, the middle hole has the connector from the 2nd piece.
The links were then put into a slicer to translate it to a language the 3d printer can read, and know where to place filament.
Here is my 2 link test print, to make sure the links moved together like a roller chain would.
