to trace the impact of contemporary migration on culture (literature, theatre, film, visual and digital arts, music, etc.)
to compare different forms of migration art and the ways they are distributed;
to examine and compare migration art across different regions and cultural contexts;
to use art as a tool for studying migration;
to design research approaches that integrate insights from different fields and perspectives to develop a more holistic understanding of migration and the dynamics of multicultural and multilingual societies;
to investigate both the positive and negative effects as well as the potential of transnationalism, multiculturalism, multilingualism and translation;
to develop the notion of cultural literacy and its significance in a multicultural and multilingual society;
to investigate how migration art can help create caring relationships in multicultural societies;
to develop lectures and practical art workshops for students to teach about migration and multicultural communities.
