Membership is free and open to all scholars, writers, translators, artists, cultural practitioners and anyone interested in migration art. We meet up regularly for online lectures, seminars or workshops: about 4 times a year. These sessions run for 90 minutes and feature either two 30-minute lectures/presentations followed by discussion or a 45-90-minute workshops. All SIG members are invited to present their work.
The main aim of the Migration SIG is to foster networking, exchange skills and knowledge, promote your work and events, provide ideas and feedback on your work-in-progress, and keep track of current research in the field of migration. Membership is free, but we ask all members to take an active role in the group.
· present your research, artistic projects or work-in-progress at SIG meetings;
· contribute to discussions by sharing feedback and ideas;
· organise a seminar, workshop, conference or other event (either online or at your institution) in collaboration with the SIG;
· contribute to collective initiatives such as grant applications or book proposals;
· share news about relevant conferences, publications or artistic events related to migration;
· suggest new initiatives for the SIG;
· invite colleagues, scholars, artists to join the SIG.
