WHAT WE DO
The Traffic Safety Division serves Blaine County by supporting both the citizens and law enforcement of San Andreas. Our Traffic Officers and Pilots work hand-in-hand to improve public safety through initiatives such as DUI and vehicle safety checkpoints, providing air support, and other specialized services that keep our roads and skies safe.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct DUI and vehicle safety checkpoints to ensure safe driving practices across Blaine County.
Provide aerial support for law enforcement operations, traffic monitoring, and community safety.
Assist with traffic enforcement and accident response to maintain order and reduce roadway hazards.
Support both citizens and law enforcement by delivering specialized traffic safety services throughout San Andreas.

Must be active
Must be active within the Community and be respectful and mature at all times
Discipline Check (Last 30 Days)
Applicant must have no formal reprimands or higher within the last 30 days.
Deputy II or Above
Must currently hold the rank of Deputy II or higher.
Good Standing with TSD CoC and BCSO Command
Must be in good standing with the SSB chain of command and BCSO Command.
The Traffic Safety Division's Motorbike Unit is the main sub-division tasked with providing Blaine County with a motorbike patrol. MBU provides stealthy traffic control, event management, escorts, and much more.

MBU Member: Officer I
The Traffic Safety Division Air Support Unit is the main agency tasked with providing the Blaine County Sheriff's Office with Air Support during large-scale incidents, pursuits, search and rescues, or any other incidents requiring air support. This division will also maintain close relations with other partners such as LSPD and SAHP. Furthermore, this division is happy to team up with our Parks and Wildlife Division in a newly Interdepartmental Collaboration for the purpose of Search and Rescues which Parks and Wildlife certified personnel will take lead on.

ASU Member: Officer I
The purpose of this specialty unit is to crack down on high-speed pursuits and to help out during operations. This unit is activated when requested to a TSD Operation, or when a high-speed pursuit is occurring in Blaine County.

IU Training Officer: TSD Command
The Mobile Command Center (MCC) allows operation leads to efficiently coordinate units in the field, perform on-site warrant checks, and serve as a central base of operations. It is equipped with mobile communication tools, including repeaters, and can also be used for promotional events.

MCC Training Officer: Officer II
The Advanced DUI (A-DUI) certification empowers a TSD Officer to take primary responsibility for DUI interactions within the BCSO jurisdiction. This certification ensures that the officer is knowledgeable about the effects of different types and quantities of alcohol on a person, particularly in relation to driving. It includes specialized training on identifying and managing DUI cases effectively.

A-DUI Certification: Probationary Officer
This certification is a prerequisite to becoming an Officer II and to obtaining the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Certification.
The Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) certification enables a TSD Officer to take the lead on any drug-related interactions within the BCSO jurisdiction. This certification provides the officer with expertise in identifying and understanding the effects of various scheduled drugs and narcotics on individuals. It also includes training on conducting thorough inspections and field drug tests.
