Greetings from the Midway Gators Swim Team!

Summer swim season is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to get back in the water! Registration is now officially open to everyone—you don’t need to be a member of Midway Pool to join the Gator family. If you know any friends, neighbors, or classmates who might love being part of our team, please share this information and help us spread the word! Join us for in-person sign-ups at Midway Pool on Sunday, May 17th, from 1–3 PM. 

While we aren't a “learn-to-swim” program, we welcome swimmers of all skill levels. Our goal is to create a fun, educational environment where kids can master all four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke. We just ask that swimmers be comfortable in the water and able to swim unassisted- taking breaks is perfectly okay!

Swimmers should be able to swim at least one length of the pool (25 yards) in some manner.  Swimmers will be introduced to all four strokes:  freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breast.  

We look forward to working with swimmers at all levels and creating a fun learning environment. 

Fees & Registration

          ● Midway Pool Members: $50.00 for the first child and $30.00 for each additional family member

          ● Non-Pool Members: $75.00 per child

Your registration fee covers eight weeks of team instruction, a team t-shirt, a swim cap, and all ribbons. It also helps offset essential team expenses, including meet hosting costs and administrative supplies

Summer Meet Schedule

We have four exciting regular-season meets scheduled for this summer:

          ● June 13

          ● June 23

          ● June 30

          ● July 7

The County Championship will be held on July 17th & 18th at the Thomasville Aquatic Center. Please remember that swimmers must participate in at least one regular-season meet to be eligible for the Championship Meet. 

Practice & Team Details

The practice schedule will include both mornings and evenings to offer flexibility for families, and practices will start after Memorial Day. It is okay if your swimmer is not able to make it to every practice or every swim meet—we understand it is summertime and vacations are already planned! 

          ● Team Colors: Black and green.

          ● Gear: Ladies should wear a one-piece suit; guys can wear either a jammer or a Speedo.       

             Swimmers will also need goggles.
