1:00PM CST: AI-Powered Institutional Research: From Data to Decision

A finished analysis is only half of institutional research. The other half is getting someone with the authority to act on it to actually change their mind. Reports get produced, vetted, and filed, while the decisions they were meant to inform get made on instinct or politics.

AI is shifting both halves. It speeds the analysis, and for IR it does something more valuable: it helps turn findings into the clear, decision-ready story that moves a cabinet or a board. The session covers using AI to surface patterns, draft the narrative, and stress-test findings against the objections leadership will raise, along with the guardrails IR cannot skip: student data privacy, FERPA boundaries, and where a human stays in the loop.

If you run or support an IR function, you will leave with a method for making your analysis land.
