Sailing through the summer!

For more than 75 years, Mentor Harbor Yachting Club has offered junior activities to keep kids active, healthy, and safe in, around and on the water. Our campers have a ton of fun while they learn how to:

  • Sail and swim for fun and for competition

  • Safely ride on and man powerboats

  • Use kayaks and paddleboards (SUPs)

  • Swim in pools and open water safely and competitively

You are never too old to learn how to sail!

Get outside. Learn skills for life. Join the fun!

Looking Ahead to Fall 2021

The MHQH Swim Team is a combined effort between Mentor Harbor Yachting Club and Quail Hollow Country Club.

We practice from June 1 through July, and hold meets on various Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout June and July. We focus on fun and stroke development starting with our beginner Pollywogs (ages 8 and under) and up to 16. Swim team practices and swim lessons are also included for all Crow's Nest Sailors.

Private swim lessons for MHYC members are also available.

Pending COVID restrictions, we are planning to re-start Swim Team in Summer 2021! Please email us for more info!

Crow's Nest Sailing Program

MHYC's Crow's Nest Sailing Program is designed to teach kids ages 7 to 16 the joy of boating and water safety skills for life. Spend your summer days outside on Lake Erie, sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, powerboating, playing at our beaches, swimming in the pool and enjoying the beautiful MHYC clubhouse and grounds. Our more competitive sailors also race on the Opti Race Team or the Advanced Race Team. Crow's Nest is open to members of the Club and the community, and we welcome beginners of ALL AGES. We may have 5 Fleets, but this is 1 Family.

2021 Online Registration is LIVE! REGISTER HERE to claim a spot on our waitlist! You can also receive sibling discount when registering more than 1 camper for 3 weeks or more.

MHYC junior sailors ages 13 to 19 take their sailing skills to the next level, competing at local, regional and national events in Club 420s, Lasers and Thistles. Advanced Race team is open to members of the Club and the community.
