VISION

The Library envisions to provide print and online relevant and updated medical and health related sources of information to the users in a fast and accurate way in order to help the MHAM College of Medicine accomplish their defined MISSION, VISION, GOALS and OBJECTIVES.

MISSION

The Matias H. Aznar (MHAM) College of Medicine Library primarily exists to serve the medical faculty members, students and administrations. It also extends services to outside the medical practitioners and researchers in seeking medical and health related information.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

1. to develop student's awareness of the value of library resources as a means for lifelong education

2. to encourage the faculty to promote the effective use of the library by the students and for them to utilize the library more fully for their professional growth and for the improvement of the instructional process

3. to train the personnel to enhance their professional skills and competencies

4. to strengthen and upgrade the library resources and existing facilities and equipment to meet the research needs

5. to up-date operations and services in the library to keep abreast with current trends in information technology

6. provide access to a variety of resources to meet user's educational, clinical and research needs

7. perform a comprehensive user needs assessment to determine areas of strength and weakness in services, resources and operations thus the results will be used to inform continuous improvement priorities over the coming years

8. create a workplace that develops staff, provides a flexible work space, exhibits effective communication and supports success planning opportunites
