On the 20th of August, the Secondary 1, 2 and 3 members of the MGS Choir were invited to sing at the Asia Kodály Symposium 2022, alongside the Dunman High School Choir and the St Andrew's Secondary School Choir. We were honoured to have Jonathan MacPherson as the Tenor soloist for the performance.

During this event, we sang Kom by Monica Aslund, Exultate Justi by Lodovico da Viadana, Tanctona by Zoltán Kodály, and Londali by Albert Tay. We also sang two joined pieces with Dunman High School Choir and St Andrew's Secondary School Choir - Esti Dal by Zoltán Kodály and Baba Yetu by Christopher Tin.
It was truly an enjoyable experience as this was the first physical performance that we took part in since Covid-19. It was also our first experience singing alongside choirs from other schools! Before our performance, we had a combined rehearsal at Methodist Girls' School Auditorium where we had the chance to interact with the other choir members.
