Always have a strategy in place and have it in writing so all your players participating in the event are in alignment. They can not read your mind -- that tech hasn't been developed yet. If you don't plan, you plan to fail, so don't be surprise by the outcomes and hope luck is on your side.
Every cross alliance/kingdom competitive event requires your team having sufficient offensive and defensive skills. Activate your abilities and scrolls for additional edge against your opponents.
Activate Fury and Protection abilities of your Sea Master Statue.
Fury, when activated, is effective immediately.
Protection's defense bonus is ONLY effective after the peace shield expires. In the example below, the peace shield lasts for 205 minutes. To use the defense bonus of 34%, activate the protection ability 205 minutes (or 3 hours 25 minutes) prior to the actual event. Set an alarm as a reminder, its easy to forget.
Activate defense and attack scrolls to add additional bonuses for your troops. These scrolls can be purchased from your alliance store.
Type: Alliance vs Alliance
Reward: Iron Kong Enhancements
The goal of Oracle Reef is to kill as many "Priests/Atlanteans" as you can to accumulate the most points. The shrines are an unnecessary distraction to accumulate points slowly as you wait for a new batch of Atlanteans to arrive.
Strong Players are defined by how they rank compared to the opponent's players. Your stronghold and troop level is either at par or higher than your opponent. Let's get real, objectively even if you are level 30, but the opponent has level 35, you may be strong in your alliance but weak compared to opponent.
DOs
Position yourself near or between the center where Level 10 High Priest and/or where the Level 5 Necromancer appears
Use speed-ups to get last kills on Atlanteans (esp. Level 5 and 10). You know how much of the health bar each of your attacks take off from the target, so you can time your speed-up to land the fatal blow.
Select Commands at the beginning of the game (see bottom left corner of screen):
Astute Command: Fleet of Foot (Increase march speed by 100%)
Decisive Command: Unity (Increase team troop attack when fighting at a landmark)
Position yourself so you can launch multiple marches in rapid succession before the first march returns. If you are too close, your match may return before you can launch another. If you are too far, you may have to wait for your first march to return.
DONTs
Do not leave your troops garrisoned in shrines, they are too valuable to be left idle. Rather ask a weak player to garrison in your place.
Do not run rallies, rather attack as quickly as possible. This may require positioning yourself a decent distance from your target. If you can launch 5 marches, distance yourself enough to be able to launch 5 marches in rapid fire. If you are too close, by the time you are ready to send another march, you previous march is already back.
Do not protect your weak players, if they behave recklessly let them die so they can no longer feed the opponent free points.
Weak or Support Players - Defined by how they rank compared to the opponent's players. Your stronghold and troop level is below your opponent's top tier players. If you want to survive and earn points, play smart, and follow the guidelines. Having dead troops does not earn points.
DOs
Wait for your strong players to take position, while you run marches against Level 1 (Prayer) or 5 (Necromancer) Atlanteans from your base
Position yourself near shrines, Level 1 (Prayer) or 5 (Necromancer) Atlanteans, and near the protection of your strong players. Attack Atlanteans as quickly and as much as possible.
Attack opponents that are mining resources ONLY after you have scouted them and know you can defeat them.
Teleport to safe locations (even if remote) and launch rallies. You will have a free teleport every 10 minutes
Heal your troops in small quantities (i.e. ~5000 troops) so they are available faster.
If your estate is attacked often and you are losing, teleport back to base (-- you get a free teleport every 15 minutes).
DONTs
Attack stronger opponents -- Suicide missions are a quick way to give the opponent free points
Teleport into arena before your strong players take position. Hubris is your downfall, and wastes the efforts of your strong players
Teleport into arena after you are wiped out and returned to base. The opponent has you marked and knows you are an easy kill with free points.
Atlanteans Mobs
20 Atlantean Prayers (Level 1) spawn every 10-minutes
4 Atlantean Necromancers (Level 5) spawn every 10-minutes.
1 Atlantean High Priest (Level 10) spawns every 15 minutes.
Mines
Iron and Silver Mines spawn every 20 minutes
Teleports
You get a free teleport every 15 minutes. Don't stay put, move to positions that allows you to optimize your points.
Rewards
The event rewards are best suited for leveling up your Iron Kong.
Type: Alliance vs Alliance
Reward: Airship Enhancements
The War of Waters event is a competition between two (2) alliances across any kingdom for points. Points are earned by individual players and alliance by taking over landmarks and killing or injuring opposing players' troops.
Strong Players are defined by how they rank compared to the opponent's players. Your stronghold and troop level is either at par or higher than your opponent.
DOs
Reduce competition from opponents by reducing opponents overall power.
Run solo or rallies against landmarks to take over the landmark. Once a landmark is taken, allow other players to keep it garrisoned while you take over other landmarks.
DONTs
Do not leave high point earning landmarks undefended.
DOs
Wait for your strong players to take position, while you send troops to garrison or reinforce landmarks. It is better to earn points than to give points to your opponents.
Support rallies against landmarks and/or other players
If your estate is attacked often and you are losing, teleport back to base and/or away from hot spots.
Type: League vs League
Reward: Stronghold, Dragon, Iron Kong Enhancements
Lord of Tides similar to War of Water except that there are four (4) factions fighting for points over a span of 2 hours.
The factions are:
Lion League
Eagle League
Wolf League
Deer League
The leagues are assembled based on players passing prior rounds of War of Waters or Lord of Tides competitions. A league may contain players from different alliances and kingdoms.
Points are accumulated by taking over landmarks and killing or injuring opposing league's troops.
There are 13 landmarks that will be unlocked and become available for takeover at certain periods during the clash.
The strategy for Lord of Tides will be similar to that of War of Waters.
See event help guide in the game for information about the various stages of the Pinnacle of Kings event. This guide will only cover specific aspects of the event, specifically the battle and post-battle phases.
Whether you plan to win or lose, always have a plan to allow your kingdom to accumulate points by attacking at least one tower consisting of opponents players. Attacking your own players or attacking in the dark forest will not accumulate points.
The following content was contributed by Schecterboi (from Reddit) -
If you are confident you will lose, then don't waste troops. Send out your 70k-80k troops so you can get them back, get some points, and live to fight another day. Pick 1 to 2 towers to contest and hold for as long as you can.
Rule of thumb is that T11s have a significant advantage vs T10s. If they have multiple 35+ players, then the numbers are not in your favor, but that happens from time to time.
The best way to optimize your kingdom power is to have 1 host alliance, usually one of the strongest alliances in your kingdom. From there, you have all the strongest players join that alliance for the duration of POK. That allows you to have the strongest garrisons & mega rallies possible, and the other kingdom may do the same. Always track opponent alliance power leading into the event.
Always have your strongest player lead the mega garrison, no exceptions. Determine which players are reinforcing that player before the event, to reduce unnecessary weaker troops.
Having said that, the difference between a 400-600M power lvl 35 player & a 700M-1Billion power 35 player can be huge. You may have a chance vs weaker 35 players, but they still have the edge.
If your troops are killed during the Pinnacle of Kings event. You can recover a certain number of them from your Sanctuary's Ethereal River and Pinnacle of Kings' Sharpen Yer Sword option. Event gives you some free libation of rebirth potions, plus the first and second resurrection is free of charge. You will be able to resurrect a little over 12K troops with no expense.
In the example below, 60K troops were sacrificed, but only 44.8K troops needed to be resurrected. The reminder were converted to injured based on your Battlefield Treatment skill level (see Academy's Development research skills, Iron Kong Talent Enhancement's Battlefield Treatment skill, etc.).
Resurrect fallen troops from your Citadel's Ethereal River (see snapshots below)
Heal injured troops in your hospital
Perform tasks in Sharpen Yer Swords -- a Pinnacle of Kings sub-event after the battle stage is over. Sharpen Yer Swords will allow you to recover 45K troops.
In summary you can recover 70K-80K of your fallen troops between the citadel, hospital, and your battlefield treatment skill level.
There are certain benefits for participating in the battle stage of Pinnacle of Kings (KvK). Post-event your King (if one is elected) can activate certain bonuses that reduce the cost and time for certain upgrades. These kingdom buffs include Rapid Training
Kingdom Buffs
Rapid Training -> Troop Training Speed +300% - Increases the training speed for troops up to the same total Troop Power that was lost during the most recent KvK battle. Hence if you do not lose any troops during the KvK battle, you will not benefit from this bonus.
The ancient gate event lasts for 30 minutes, which each rally taking 5 minutes to launch. The marches of troops to rally masters move at the same speed as one player attacking another player, so the key to completing a successful gates session is to have the proper layout of key players around the gate, and launching rallies against the gate in succession to maximize the number of runs against the gate as well as providing strong players multiple opportunities to launch their attacks by hopping from one rally master to the next.
Layout of estates around the gate is critical. The following screenshot is a good example of how your players should be positioned around the gate.
The Ancient Gate -
Location B2 (center)
Rally Masters - Responsible for launching rallies against the gate. They must have high capacity and shortest distance to the gate. They are positioned on the lateral sides of the gate.
Locations B1, B3, A2, C2
March to the gate is
~12 seconds w/o artillery
~14 seconds w/ artillery
Total: 4+ Rally Masters (minimum 4)
Power Players - These player have high troop power and attack bonuses. They land heavy damage against the gate mob, and positioned next to the Rally Masters.
Locations A1, A3, C1, C3
March to the rally master is
~12 seconds w/o artillery
~14 seconds w/ artillery
Total: 1+ Power Players
Power players can be rally masters, however it will limit the number of rallies they can participate in.
As soon as the gate event is started, the rally masters should start their rally in the following order and time delay:
Rally Master 1 - Starts at 0 min : 0 sec
Rally Master 2 - Starts at 1 min : 15 secs
Rally Master 3 - Starts at 2 min : 30 secs
Rally Master 4 - Starts at 3 min : 45 secs
If there are additional Rally Masters, as a result of high participation, they can start at 0 min : 0 sec (along w/ Rally Master 1).
Power players joining Rally Master 1's rally will have just enough time to jump onto another Rally Master 2's rally upon completion of the first rally.
The Specter Raid is a two (2) hour long event where specters are sent against each member of the alliance. Members and alliance earn points as they survive each raid. The more members that survive a raid, the more points the alliance accummulates, thus unlocking higher tier rewards.
If necessary, you may activate your protection shield to gain additional estate troop defense and HP. In the example below, the additional boost in defense is only available after 205 minutes (3 hrs 25 mins) after activation. The duration depends on your Sea Master Armor level and may be different than what is shown in the example below.
The alliance main palace must be defended in raid wave #10 and raid wave #20.
Raid wave #10 occurs around ~55 mins
Raid wave #20 occurs around ~1 hr and 55 mins
Set your alarm to 50 mins and 1 hr 50, at which point send your best player to garrison, and the top players to reinforce. Other players (that are weaker) should remain in their estate. Not everyone needs to participate.
Alliance Crunch is a collaborative event where members of the alliance take on different challenges to accumulate points that in turn give rewards if milestones are reached based on both individual and alliance points. If the alliance is in the top 5 ranking then it will go onto higher level with better rewards.
Before you select a challenge, make sure you have necessary resources (i.e. magic crystals, speed-ups, experience, VIP, gold, etc.) to complete it quickly.
Once a challenge is completed, quickly claim your points so the challenge can be made available to others.
For consumption-based challenges, only consume as much as necessary to complete the task. Don't over-consume, since you may need that resource to do the same task again. Especially if its your favorite challenge and you have plenty of required resources to complete them multiple times.
If you do not see a task you can complete, either refresh your two exclusive challenges, or wait for common challenges to refresh. The list of available tasks will refresh periodically, or upon request by R4 or R5 ranking member.
You have a limited number of challenge chances to start with and get one free challenge chance each day. If additional challenge chances you need to use gold. It costs more for each additional challenge chance on the same day. The gold cost resets every day.
If you plan to do a lot of challenges, it is best to start buying challenge chances every day for low price (i.e. 50 gold, 150 gold, 250 gold, ...).
The best exclusive challenges give +960, +600 points. There is a limit to the number of exclusive challenges you can do. Refresh it often until you get the challenge that you can do with the most points reward. Each refresh takes 5 minutes for a new challenge to appear.
The best common challenges give +200, +500, +800 points. I prefer the +500 or +800 points as it helps the alliance achieve a higher rank, and unlocks milestone rewards quicker. But only select such a challenge if you know you can complete it quickly
Do NOT select a common challenge that gives high number of points (i.e.. +500, +800) if you can NOT complete it quickly. You would only hurt the rest of the alliance from achieving a high rank by locking a challenge that you can NOT complete.
Do NOT over consume a resource to complete a challenge, especially one that gives you a lot of points and one that you might want to repeat. Calculate the amount of resources you need to consume and only consume what is minimally required.
Some basic calculations that may be helpful:
A +800 point challenge that requires 9000 minutes of speedups = 150 hours of speedups (or 6.25 days)
A +500 point challenge that requires 4800 minutes of speedups = 80 hours of speedups (or 3.33 days)
Check the status of your challenge often to make sure you:
Actually have it selected, before you start consuming resources or performing the task.
Know how much is remaining to complete it.
Once completed, claim the points, and reward.
My personal favorite is the Magic Crystal consumption challenge.
+200 points = Consume 200 Magic Crystals
+500 / +600 points = Consume 800 Magic Crystals
+800 / +960 points = Consume 2400 Magic Crystals
These magic crystals are rewarded when you perform your daily Celestial Globe quests, and from undead camps. They are easy to accumulate, and save. Don't spend the magic crystals when you get them, rather wait for this event and reap the rewards.
If you take on the Increase # power through training or upgrading troops, it is best to upgrade existing troops and use speeds up to hasten the upgrade. To upgrade a troop, select the training building, then select the level that corresponds to a lower ranking troop. Under the image of the troop, you will see a label "Own: #". There will be an up-arrow next to it, select it and then select train to upgrade your troop. It's best to keep all your troops upgraded to your highest troop level. This is a good challenge in which to do that.
