You've Never Seen Science Like This Before!
We're Now Recruiting Presenters!
The MES Family Science Night is an entertaining and informative STEAM filled event hosted by volunteer professionals from the community. Family Science Night sessions are an opportunity for the entire family to have hands-on exposure to science together. Please note that this is not a drop-off event. We look forward to offering MES another fun experience of diverse scientific explorations to engage budding learners of all types!
There is no parking available on campus, but Haygood parking is available each night. Please respect our direct neighbors and DO NOT PARK near the fence/field on Fordham Ct. (cars will be towed).
Volunteer To Present
CALLING ALL STEAM ENTHUSIASTS!
We are now scheduling presenters for Family Science Night 2026, and MES parents are often some of our best and most passionate presenters!
If you are a professional scientist or a passionate hobbyist, please share your knowledge with our students by volunteering to be a presenter. Please also help us spread the word to others in the community who may be interested in presenting.
● So you want to present, but what's it like? Get all the details here.
● To get a feel for the types of sessions we've had in the past, take a peek at Last Year's Session Lineup.
Here are a few new topics that we think would round out our list of presenters, but we're open to anything you can think of!
● Astronomer
● Artificial Intelligence (AI)
● Aerospace
● Wearable computing
● Software developer
● Sustainability
● Forensic science
● Biotech
● Engineering/Design/ 3D Printing

We look forward to offering MES another fun night of diverse scientific topics to engage our budding learners!
Volunteers are a key part of ensuring this event runs smoothly and is a wonderful experience for all of our MES families. Please consider signing up to participate as a committee member, help the evening of the event, or to volunteer in a different capacity please reach out to the FSN Committee. We are looking forward to partnering with you!
Spectacular Science Showcase!
To get everyone energized about everything science, we will have the Spectacular Science Showcase in the auditorium featuring ScienceKids and the ATOM Show - it includes a wide variety of mind-blowing experiments and audience participation. There will be two different times for the Showcase in the main auditorium on each night (Details coming soon!). Families will be assigned a Showcase time (with them giving their time preference during registration) and still be able to attend three assigned, hands-on sessions throughout the evening. The whole event will run from 5:30-8 PM each evening!
