Monster Bash is MES PTA’s annual fall carnival for students, families, and the neighborhood. Join us at Morningside Elementary for costumes, games, rides, Chick-fil-a, a bake sale, the 5th-grade haunted house, and so much more seasonal fun!
This is a family togetherness type of event and all children pre-K to 8th grade must come with an adult. This is not a drop off event.
WHAT ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT WILL BE OFFERED?
WHAT ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT WILL BE OFFERED?
Kids can enjoy indoor and outdoor activities including inflatables, carnival type rides, a climbing wall, face painting, balloon artists, a magician, DJ music, a photo booth, a quiet DIY art station, and activity tables hosted by local businesses. There’s even a haunted house designed and acted by 5th graders that promises to be a scream!

Food will be available for purchase from the Chick-fil-A tent, including vegetarian options. The bake sale will offer sweet treats, with limited gluten-free options, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the PTA Dolphins Do Good holiday grocery card initiative.

Monster Bash will go on as planned, rain or shine. Please keep an eye on the forecast and plan accordingly. Indoor activities will include a toddler bounce house, face painters, a selfie cam photobooth, the Monster Store, the bake sale, the pumpkin auction, and art stations. If it rains, the magician, balloon artist, and professional photographer will move indoors.

No. This is a family event and all children pre-K to 8th grade must come with an adult. This is not a drop off event. There will not be personnel at the event to take care of children who are alone. Monster Bash is put on by volunteers and we appreciate your partnership in ensuring an amazing time is had by all.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
Families should wear whatever feels comfortable. Costumes are welcome and encouraged, especially for the kids’ costume parade that will be the grand finale to the event! All the fun, creative, silly, and spooky costumes are fantastic, and we can’t wait to see them! Please do not bring any toy weapons of any kind to the school, even if part of the costume.
Comfortable shoes are recommended because the event includes walking and standing, with limited seating available outside. There will be air conditioning and seating inside the cafeteria if anyone needs to take a break.

IS THERE A QUIET SPACE FOR CHILDREN WHO NEED A BREAK?
Yes. An air-conditioned quiet space will be available in the cafeteria, away from the DJ and carnival activity. A DIY art station will be set up in the cafeteria for children to relax and unwind.
