For this assignment, I was instructed to go through Brightspace, the learning management system used by CCBC, and explain five ways it provides information.
One: I noticed at the top of my screen a trail displaying where I clicked and how I got there, which is very helpful for when I need to return to a previous tab.
Two: I noticed each tab was dedicated to many different things. For example, where all the content will be located or where the assignments and grades are displayed. However, sometimes the assignments won’t always be in the assignment tab, and will instead be in the Grades or Content tab.
Three: I noticed a tab called Help which offers all different ways of getting assistance, as well as ways to contact CCBC sources.
Four: I noticed when you click on grades, it will show you the amount of assignments that are in each unit or, in some cases, will be broken down into what types of assignments. For example, math will have Homework, Quizzes, and Tests.
Five: In the Class Progress tab, it shows you how long you’ve been in the class course, and displays the amount of assignments completed and grades with a bar graph. It also shows the days you viewed the class course and material given, among many other things.
Something that stuck out the most to me during this assignment was the Class Progress tab. I have a bad habit of forgetting things or thinking I’ve done things when I haven’t. When clicking that tab, it really puts into perspective how much effort I’ve put in or, in some cases, how much I haven’t. I think that tab has helped me get through some classes and helped me understand how I’ve failed others.
