Meet Meredith Heuring
Hello, everyone; welcome to my portfolio. A little about me: my name is Meredith Heuring, and I'm an STL area (southern Illinois pride) native currently living in and attending school in Missouri. I graduated from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy) in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing and Communication, a minor in general business, and a specialization in social media. I am also pursuing a Master of Arts at The University of Missouri School of Journalism, specializing in strategic communication.
During this past summer, I had the privilege of working as an Account Management Intern at HLK in St. Louis. This experience allowed me to apply my strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills professionally, contributing to real-world projects and gaining invaluable insight into the advertising and marketing industry.
As a student, I've developed skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Canva. With a keen eye for detail and a strategic approach to social media management, I consistently contribute to impactful online branding and engagement. As a senior undergrad student, I wrote (and am now continuing as a master's student) and researched my thesis, "Alabama's Sisterhood Day 1 OOTD." Key Stakeholder Interviews and An In-Depth Content Analysis to Understand the Creator, Audience, and Brand Uses and Gratifications of Alabama Rush TikTok. This research aims to understand the uses and gratifications of Creators, Audiences, and Brands that emerge from the social media phenomenon of Alabama Rush TikTok. Ultimately, I want to understand what specific satisfactions influencers, brands, and customers get by watching and creating Alabama Rush Tok videos.
When I'm not producing social content or writing, I spend my free time listening to Broadway musicals, wishing I had the money to make my Pinterest boards a reality, speaking only in TikTok references, and longing to experience the era where the only thing anyone cared about on Thursday nights was NBC.
