Wurlitzer Opus 1680

A 3/31 VTPO for Hauptwerk

Available in Dry and Wet (with reverb) versions.

Wurlitzer Opus 1680 was originally a three manual, nineteen rank Style 260 Special, shipped from the Wurlitzer factory on July 25, 1927 to the RKO Albee Theatre in Cincinnati, Ohio. The organ has moved several times, and ranks have been added to fill out the specification. It is currently in the Music Hall Ballroom, in Cincinnati.

The wave files for this sample set were recorded in 24-bit 96kHz and processed by Joseph Hardy, with further edits by members of Paramount Organ Works and Melotone Sound Productions. Graham Goode created the CODM and initial graphics, subsequent ODF programming, left and right screens, piano sustain, and memory levels by Olivia Nagioff, assisted by Stephen Ades.  Voicing by Iain McGlinchey. Demo MIDI file by Pierre Fracalanza.
