Melkbosstrand Poetry Corner is a special place for everyone who loves books, poetry, and the simple joy of sharing words. It is a place to listen, to read, to discover new voices, and sometimes simply to find comfort and connection in a beautiful piece of writing.

In just a few years of meeting at Blessings Coffee and Creative on 11th Avenue in Melkbosstrand, the Poetry Corner has grown into a relaxed and welcoming little haven for lovers of the written and spoken word. Here, poetry and reading have shown that they are very much alive — and that more and more people are discovering, or rediscovering, the pleasure of getting lost in words.

For the ART/FILM Festival week, the Poetry Corner has put together a wonderful programme filled with exciting literary activities, shared readings, poetry, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the magic of words together.
