I am a fourth-year Pathology Resident at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and I am preparing to start my Pediatrics Pathology Fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. I am an enthusiastic teacher and I aspire to a career in medical education.
My teaching philosophy is centered on collaboration and continuous development. I truly believe that learning is a collaborative process, where both the teacher and student have multiple opportunities to grow together and learn from each other. To achieve this, I prioritize active learning strategies, and the importance of constructive feedback.
I am particularly interested in evaluating the current status of the assessment tools available for teachers to evaluate student learning and progress. I aim to develop strategies to improve evaluation in a comprehensive and effective manner.
As a future medical educator, I value the importance of empathy, compassion, and respect for diversity. These qualities are essential for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and they are also essential for effective communication and collaboration.
My goal is to apply my pathology training to help students develop a strong foundation in pathology that will prepare them for their diverse future careers in healthcare. I do my best to create a positive and engaging learning environment that inspires students to succeed.
