This graph depicts the lengths and costs of three major public transit projects throughout the world: the MM2, the Crossrail 1 (London), and the Cityringen (Copenhagen). If you look closely, you can see that each project's bars are almost equal. This means that the ratio between the two is the same for every project - and that ratio is the cost of building the rail per km (in AUD). Even though the projects greatly vary in size (the Crossrail being the longest and the Cityringen the smallest), they still maintain the same cost per km ratio. This means that the MM2 is projected to be financially on track to following in the footsteps of other successful projects.
