My objective for this is assignment is to virtually build a moderately powerful and fast PC. I have used PCPartPicker.com to select all the components for my PC. My goal was to build a PC that has a high efficiency in multi-tasking, executing instructions, and starting programs. I also wanted an efficient computer for music production and a computer with great graphics for gaming, watching movies, video and photo editing. Essentially, my overall aim was to have a computer that performs well in various areas.

This was my first time ever navigating through the web to look at all different types of computer components, so this experience was very eye-opening. For example, I didn’t know there were all kinds of brands for computer components, such as the CPU having intel and AMD. Not only that, but each brand had their different types of CPU too, such as AMD Ryzen with “AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, “AMD Threadripper 3990X”, and so many more. It was very hard to pick what I wanted for each component, but at the same time it was fun to explore the different components and have that chance to pick what I wanted for my PC.
This project also helped me learn very useful tricks for Microsoft Word. For example, instead of copying and pasting a picture to Word from the internet, I learned that I could save the image into my computer’s local drive and insert it into the Word document, which is a neater way of doing so. Also, in this project I learned how to automatically make changes to other headings to match the first heading, which is so helpful to know for future Word assignments.
