About me

I'm Meghna Dixit, a B.Tech graduate from the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB)

My interest lies at the intersection of theoretical and observational astrophysics, specifically the physics of compact objects and their mergers. I'm also keen on exploring the applications of Deep-Learning models in astronomy.

I'm currently working at Accenture Japan as a Data Scientist. Some of my recent projects involved building neural net models for solving the Einstein equations for modified gravity theories with Prof. S. Shankaranarayanan and Prof. Amuthan A. Ramabathiran at IIT Bombay. I was also a part of Prof. Varun Bhalerao's STAR Lab team at IIT Bombay, where I worked on automating the pipeline for Gamma-Ray Burst (GRBs) detection using CZTI onboard the AstroSat satellite. Along with this, I performed archival searches in Astrosat data for Prompt X-ray counterparts to Fast Radio Bursts.
