Previous Engagement with DESJ studies:

In POLS210, I dove deep into the unresolved conflicts of immigration reform and the negative impact it has on Migrant individuals and families.

Inequities for non-native population in the United States

My research and takeaway from my political science class really opened up how unfair the immigration process is. The United States has not made a massive change in 37 years since the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1987, and on this year that had provided massive amnesty to undocumented immigrants. The civil rights act, as well as capitalism had a good pull in this, the issue is that though the ICRA provided many with naturalization, the ideas of white supremacy and oppression have remained intact.

(To the Left) The United States Capital: In Winter of 23 I visited and lobbied with house representatives, speaking for the voice of single mothers, and migrant students.
