Throughout the country, there are many less fortunate people who cannot provide themselves with adequate medical care and who often are also in need of other kinds of social help.
Citizens who, moved by a spirit of charity, unite their efforts to alleviate the sufferings and ameliorate the living conditions can do a great amount of good. This is the prime reason for the existence of Medical Missions Inc. It aims to extend all possible free assistance, especially medial, to the indigent of the Philippines, particularly those living in the rural areas.

As a medical student, the medical mission in Sapang Palay was both a humbling and learning experience. It has taught me that we can still reach out to people who lack proper access to medical care and attention. This experience has made me realize that as future physicians, we have a responsibility to serve the community and extend our help to those who are in need.

The mission in Tarlac was one of a kind in that we really went to the community and even had to hike to reach them. It was very heartwarming as some of the people there got to be checked up for the first time.
