We believe that access to an excellent healthcare is the key for a healthy community. Visiting the indigent people across urban and rural areas make this mission happen, especially for those who cannot afford themselves the best care they need.
Our Mission
The Medical Missions Inc. has been providing medical and surgical services in different parts of the Philippines for 62 years. The primary goal of our organization is to contribute to the solution of health and social problems affecting the indigents of the Philippines. Its specific objectives are:
To provide indigents throughout the Philippines, more particularly in the rural areas, with free medical and surgical services.
To familiarize the medical and paramedical personnel with the health problems in the Philippines and prepare them for the delivery of adequate health service and;
To contribute to the further medical and surgical training of physicians and surgeons in the provinces so they can render greater service to the needy
Our Vision and Impact
For 62 years, since Anthony Galleta's vision crystallized to what is known today as MMI, the organization has for its main goal, service to the less fortunate members of the Philippine society. Conceived under the roofs of the lone Catholic University of the Philippines, It has withstood years of selfless commitment and dedication to upgrade the health services rendered to the indigent Filipinos.
Through the years, the organization was able to voluntarily extend its services through the help rendered by the missions team, composed mainly of consultants, residents and nursing staff, together with a selected number of nursing and medical students.
Being in the field and adapting to the environment, the mission site offers is a rather unusual experience to the team members. They are to be exposed to certain situations and conditions that not only enhance their analytical and intellectual abilities but also their emotional maturity.
