Materials and Devices Theory Laboratory

We are the Materials and Devices Theory Laboratory (MDT Lab) in the Department of Electronics Engineering at Incheon National University working on topics at the intersection of electronics engineering, condensed matter physics, and quantum technology. A primary objective is to enable a paradigm shift led by novel materials and devices based on exotic physical phenomena. At MDT Lab, we employ advanced computational methods, utilizing supercomputers and local clusters, to conduct large-scale simulations. However, our research approaches extend beyond high-cost calculations as we actively pursue the development of physics-based models. MDT Lab은 전자공학, 응집물질물리학, 양자기술의 교차점에 있습니다. 패러다임을 바꾸는 신물질, 신소자 제안을 목표로 하고 있으며, 이를 위해 물질과 소자에서 발현되는 새로운 물리 현상에 주목하고 있습니다.  슈퍼컴퓨터와 로컬클러스터를 활용하여 대규모 시뮬레이션을 수행하는 한편, 물리 기반 모델 개발에도 힘쓰고 있습니다. 학부연구생과 대학원 진학에 관심있는 학생은 이영훈 교수(y.lee@inu.ac.kr)에게 연락바랍니다.
