We are the Materials and Devices Theory Laboratory (MDT Lab) in the Department of Electronics Engineering at Incheon National University, exploring topics at the intersection of electronics engineering, condensed matter physics, and quantum technology. A primary goal is to drive a paradigm shift through novel materials and devices that harness exotic physical phenomena, including transport in amorphous and disordered solids. To this end, we utilize supercomputers to perform first-principles calculations for atomistic-scale simulations. In parallel, we are deeply committed to physics-based theoretical studies to understand phenomena that remain incompletely explained. We are currently seeking self-motivated undergraduate and graduate students, as well as postdocs. MDT Lab은 전자공학, 응집물질물리학, 양자기술의 교차점에 있습니다. 패러다임을 바꾸는 신물질, 신소자 제안을 목표로 하고 있으며, 이를 위해 비정질 및 무질서 시스템을 포함한 물질과 소자에서 발현되는 흥미로운 물리 현상에 주목하고 있습니다.  슈퍼컴퓨터를 활용한 대규모 제1원리 계산을 수행하는 한편, 물리 기반 이론 연구에도 힘쓰고 있습니다. 학부연구생, 대학원생, 박사후연구원을 모집하고 있으며, 관심 있는 지원자는 이영훈 교수(y.lee@inu.ac.kr)에게 연락바랍니다.
