Overview
Students create text-based dialog scenes in Scratch using words from our class vocabulary lists. In follow up projects, students add their own recorded voices, narrating each line of dialog, in Spanish as well (in the final project) in English.
Goals
Help students develop Spanish vocabulary
Provide opportunities for students to use new vocabulary words in a meaningful context
Develop computational thinking skills alongside language skills in integrated, fun activities
Create "durable learning experiences" for students in Spanish class

Preparation
Help students setup personal Scratch accounts using their school email addresses. Ask them to save their userID and password for Scratch in their "Password Keeper" Google Sheet.

Extensions
Challenge students to remix classmates' projects, using some different required vocabulary and adding a surprise ending to the story.
