Course Name: Recovering the Humankind's Past and Saving the Universal Heritage.University: Sapienza University Di Roma.
“Recovering the Humankind's Past and Saving the Universal Heritage” presents to a large public Archaeology as a historical discipline: through an inter-disciplinary perspective you will follow the evolution and change of archaeology to the moment when natural sciences contributed to make the historical reconstructions scientifically sound; the aid of informatics and of virtual reconstructions gives new fascination to the already strong suggestion of Archaeology, as the discipline of discovery par excellence. Within this frame, Ebla, which is the glory of the Sapienza school of Oriental archaeology, will have an exemplary meaning in the course development as a long lasting experience on the field and an excellent example of the scientific results of combined researches and disciplines.
Moreover, the course will focus on actual, innovative instruments to preserve, monitor and give value to cultural heritage through a multidisciplinary approach, based on a deep archaeological and historical knowledge but also on ICT technologies. The wide adoption of ICT technologies in our daily life is also impacting in the way in which we interact with our cultural heritage in particular in terms of preservation and dissemination of cultural objects.
In this course, student will learn the basic techniques to digitize cultural objects and obtain 3D digital copies of a physical objects such as statues, vases, or archaeological sites. We will also discuss how to structure the raw data in order to facilitate and make effective the access to digital contents. In particular, we will present the European Data Model, a framework for collecting, connecting and enriching data on cultural objects provided by a number of museum, archives, sites, and libraries in Europe.

Course Name: Remote Sensing Technology and Data Processing ApplicationOrganizer: Belt & Road International Geospatial Information Training Center(BRGTC)
This certificate Md Nazmul Hassan for attending an online course on "Remote Sensing Technology and Data Processing Applications" hosted by Association of Science and Technology Professionals, Deqing Geospatial Information Town (DQGAST) and supported by PIESAT Information Technology Co., Ltd
26th -28th January 2022

These three days’ workshop on “Remote sensing Technology and Data Processing Application” was organized by the belt and road International Geospatial Information Training Center (BRGTC). It was a wonderful experience for me to attend this course and I am benefited from this course instead of my academic key interest is closely relevant to this topic. I have completed the Bachelor of Social Science in Archaeology at Comilla University, Bangladesh which provided me a strong basis to critically examine various aspects of Culture heritage. Past human life and social issues. Later on, I earned a master’s degree in Archaeology from the same institution.

During the course on the first day, I got the opportunity to know more fundamental aspects of remote sensing Technology and Data Processing applications and their functional uses in our daily life in a different field. Besides the discussion panel also discussed, in brief, the possible field of remote sensing and Data processing Applications. The Second-day session was more interesting because this day we are getting knowledge about tools and their basic application procedure including with installation process. Finally, the instructor practically described how to use this application and a completed guideline about PIE-ortho for DOM production based on the satellite images.

As an amateur archaeologist, I am interested in heritage sites surveying, Digital Documentation, and proper recording for further research in the future so I am interested to learn this application to implement on heritage field surveying and documentation. So I am planning to create proper documentation and digital mapping heritage sites in Bangladesh including more specifically Cumilla district. This application helps me to get satellite images to understand their changes and exact location identification.

By using this application I hope I can manage proper identification and surveying to create a digital documentation mapping on heritage sites of Bangladesh which was missing in our field.
