Annual Picnic, March 14th, 2026

Our annual picnic was held at Los Arcos Residential Park, Heredia, Cariari. Members, friends and families brought dishes and drinks to share. There were 60 to 65 people in attendance with good food, great music and plenty of dancing.

We thank especially member Dave Arnn of the Tap House for contributing salads and plenty of Moosehead beer and sodas. Thank you Dave. Dave was awarded ‘Man of the Year 2025’ by Commandant Peter Swing and Vice Commandant John Ostman. Congratulations Dave. Steve Stoll and Jerry Karl were awarded Certificates of Appreciation for their contributions to MCWLCR in 2025.

We thank Andy and Patty Pucek for making the picnic a success. Andy and Patty purchased the hot dogs, hamburgers and condiments. Thank you Andy and Patty. We thank Tom Bosserman for planning the picnic location and suppling the chairs and tables. Thank you Tom. An anonymous donor contributed $200 dollars for the success of the picnic. Gracias.

Paymaster Report

Andy Pucek stated the $200 received from the anonymous donor was added to our dollar account, now totaling $2,225. Picnic expenses subtracted from our colones account: picnic supplies plates, bowls, cutlery 21,000 colones, Los Arcos pavilion, tables and chairs rental 102,000 colones, Uber and lunch with widow of Marine attended by Ryan, Eddy and Patty 37,000 colones. Picnic food purchase, hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, rolls and cake 155,000 colones. Paid the annual Cemetery Esperanza fee of 91,000 colones. Total colones expenditures 406,000 colones. Current colones balance 856,000 colones.
