We will put some useful sample videos here from over the years!
GAMES BUILD SKILLS & CONFIDENCE
On L3 courses we play fun games which develop skills and confidence like "Tag on a Mountain Bike"
SCENARIOS
On L3 & L4 courses we do scenarios which puts the Operator in a safe practical mindset.
RIDING ON VARIED TERRAIN
It is important that MBSAR Operators are comfortable riding through the varied environments and 'terrain' especially if they will see this sort on environment in their operating area.
In this video Gary Brown demonstrates riding down a slope and up a slope, colloquially also known as: "riding through a bomb hole."
RIDING OVER OBSTACLES
This is a demonstration of a front wheel lift known as a "Manual." Again it is important that MBSAR Operators are comfortable riding through the varied environments and sometimes especially for the kerb of a road or a log in the park, the MBSAR Operator will have to safely move the bike over 'ground obstacles"
In this video Steve Quiggley" demonstrates riding over a large log known as a "Manual."
THE "HEAD / WHEEL CHECK"
Any Operators who have ever ridden in the woods know that it is possible to have to go over an obstable (like tree routes or logs) and under branches at the same time.
This is a level 3 / 4 skill we call the "Head / Wheel Check" which is demonstrated here by several MBSAR Operators in a training course in Mississauga Ontario.
