ABOUT

ABOUT

This course was started concurrently in the United Kingdom and Canada around 30 years ago and updated in 2004, and updated in 2014. We are currently updating some components to increase access through online information delivery and make it more accessible international and are even looking at translated language programs in the future.

MBSAR program allows proponents to network, access proprietary MBSAR information and also get certified at every level of the program.

We have activities and trainers around the world from North America to Australia from the United Kingdom to the Philippines! Some have completed the courses in person and some have done the distance eLearning version.

This MBSAR program is not a 'Tricking' course for Mountain Bikes. It is a safe and effective use of Mountain Bikes in emergency response and disaster operations such as Search and Rescue and medical. There are a lot of free resources here and if you are a volunteer or work with a charity for SAR or similar emergency response then we like to help with free and discounted options.

So, this is more than just 'riding a mountain bike!'

After tons of courses, years and years of doing Search and Rescue and even more riding, we saw a need for a formulate Mountain Bike Search and Rescue course.

Bikes have been ridden all over the world for umpteen years and teams of trained Search and Rescue operators deploy to emergencies, SAR and disaster response situations all the time. Sure there was a need for a structured MTB (Mountain Bike) and SAR (Search and Rescue) programme?

And it was. Welcome to MBSAR!

This Mountain Bike Search and Rescue program is also a standard Emergency Response / Emergency Cycle Patrol course.

MBSAR focuses on
