CHIRP IMG and other files for TIDRADIO H8
Jay Fenton [KJ6WSS] and Robert Johnson [KK6JNI] have worked hard to create a new set of programmed locations for a specific dual-band radio—the TIDRADIO H8.. Use the CHIRP IMG file below, along, with the CHIRP software and the appropriate cable to program memory locations in your radio.* The PDF "cheat sheet" has all the memory locations as well as comments with further information.

TIDRADIO H8 CHANNEL ORGANIZATION (CSV)

*If your radio is not present in this list but is supported by the CHIRP software, it is possible to program your radio by downloading the radio's content in CHIRP and importing the CSV file above into CHIRP (File/Import menu item) and uploading it to your radio. This method has been tested with two radios so far: the Yaesu FR-60 and the BTECH GMRS-V1 and seems to work well.
1. Open the CHIRP software.
2. Use the "Radio" menu to "Download from radio".
3. Use the "File" menu to "Import" the appropriate CSV file (ignore any error messages).
4. Use the "Radio" menu to upload to radio.
5. Save the resulting IMG file for future modification.
N.B. If you use this CSV method, you should bear in mind the following:
The CSV file incorporates elements that will not be transferable to all radios. For example, the length of channel names varies from radio to radio (some are 8 characters, some have only 5 characters).
Be sure to make the necessary adjustments, as necessary, and to your liking, using the CHIRP software, before you try to upload the IMG file to your radio. Using the "Settings" tab will enable you to modify various things, such as "Voice prompt", "Squelch level", "Power on prompt" (present in the TIDRADIO H8), etc.
