USNSCC

Project title:

USNSCC

Title of course/activity:

USNSCC

Explain the background of this work:

USNSCC is comprised of two programs. The Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) program is for young people ages 13 through the completion of high school. Also included under the USNSCC umbrella is our junior program the Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC), for young people ages 10 through 13.

This is my best evidence because I spend my time doing community service in this program. It helps me explore the possible choices I have in life while making a difference in my community.

Explain how you would rate your performance on this project using the 21C rubric. (

I would rate myself exemplary because I use my understanding of issues (school, local, national or international) to take action regularly and independently at my home unit in New Haven, Connecticut.

This artifact demonstrates my strengths in this competency by showing that I spend most of my time independently taking action in this organization in a leadership role as ALPO (assisting leading petty officer) and leading my unit to better things.

My next steps for developing this competency are to continue advancing through the ranks and the self-betterment of myself while helping my community.
