Leadership & Involvement

Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND)

President 2020 - 2021

Vice President 2019 - 2020

Once I made the decision to major in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics - I immediately joined and became an active member of the Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I have served two years on the executive board, the first as Vice President and then secondly as President.

  • My role as Vice President allowed me the opportunity to strengthen my communication, organization, and leadership skills. I developed these skills through delivering club related information to members, organizing a clothing order for members and friends, and advocating for engagement.

  • As President, I was able to continue to develop these skills on a much larger scale. Responsibilties substantially increased, offering an opportunity to really develop my organization and time-management skills. Duties included: inviting local dietitians to come speak, plannning and running monthly meetings, forwarding resources to group members, and organizing volunteer events and an annual fundraiser.

Concordia Fastpitch Softball Team

Fastpitch softball has been a passion of mine since the sixth grade, as my dad put a bat and glove in my hands at the age of three. I continued this passion into college, playing softball for Concordia's fastpitch softball team for one year. Playing for Concordia taught me time management and organization skills, and brought me relationships I will cherish forever.
