All players must be pre-registered before the registration deadline to participate in the tournament. Late entries will not be accepted.
2. All players must use Lichess and Zoom platforms to participate in the tournament.
3. TWO cameras are required for participation. This is to ensure fair play and to prevent cheating.
4. Cheating will not be tolerated. Lichess has built-in analysis to prevent cheating and can identify players playing well above their skill level. Any players caught cheating will be punished with expulsion and a potential ban from any future tournaments. Cheating includes any use of help while playing. This includes but is not limited to books, chess engines or other people playing for the player.
5. Principles of fair and respectful play will be followed. Harassment, bullying or hateful messages through Zoom or Lichess between players will not be tolerated. Please report any cases to the tournament director.
6. Parents are strongly encouraged to help their children through the process of setting up games and navigating the online platforms.
7. In the event that players are in a combined grade section (Ex. Grades 4-6), player standings towards medals and the national final qualifying will be based on results against players in their own grade. Results from games against players from other grades will not count.
