Players will use the Zoom platform to ensure fair play and to see their opponent. We encouage players to create a person Zoom account prior to the tournament.
1) Prior to the tournament, the tournament director will send out a Zoom invite link with the ID and passcode. We encourage players to arrive 10-15 mins early prior to the start of the tournament to answer any questions and to sort out technical difficulties.
2) All players will require TWO cameras at all times during play. This is to ensure fair play among all participants and to reduce cheating from other windows, computers/engines, and other people. This can be through an iPad, phone or other device with a camera that can connect to Zoom.
· Camera 1 must show the player’s face and background, using a camera on the computer the player is playing on.
· Camera 2 must be pointed to the computer’s screen to ensure there are no other open windows or assists.
Moderators for games will monitor participants’ cameras and screens. No screen sharing action via Zoom is required for participants. This will be done via camera 2.
3) On the day of the tournament, both devices are to click the Zoom invite link and login under separate names. For example, this can be labelled as “Player Name-Camera1” and “Player Name-Camera 2"
4) Players will be separated into breakout rooms corresponding to their section. They will be assigned by the tournament director and should click “Join breakout room” when assigned.
