On January 17, 2026, the Community Pain Network hosted a meaningful Storytime Event at the Larry J. Ringer Library in College Station.
This gathering created a supportive space for individuals living with chronic pain, caregivers, and community members to come together through storytelling and connection. Participants listened to one another’s experiences, reflected on shared challenges, and, for those who felt comfortable, shared their own personal stories.
The event highlighted the power of community, validation, and being heard. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to such an open and compassionate atmosphere.
Thank you for continuing to help us build spaces where every story matters.
On November 8, 2025, the Community Pain Network hosted “Mindful Tools for Navigating Pain” in partnership with The Bridge Yoga. This accessible workshop introduced gentle movement, meditation, and breathing techniques to support individuals living with pain. We are grateful to all who attended and helped make the event a meaningful and supportive experience.
A big congratulations to Diya! She was just awarded the competitive RESI Graduate Student Small Research Grant for her project titled “Cultural, Religious, and Familial Meaning-Making of Chronic Pain among South Asian Adults in Texas.” 👏👏Yay Diya! 👏👏
