This is the start of your opportunity to apply your Knowledge & Understanding of Maths into a real-world project.
Consider which area(s) of the curriculum content you could synthesize (combine) with GEOMETRY and PROBLEM SOLVING to produce an inspirational Indonesian Batik Design.

The Batik Designs of Grade 8 Maths students are presented with brief information on the medium, dimensions and the inspirations.
This project is an example of how curriculum topics from a core subject can be synthesized with IB MYP Service As Action.
100% of the proceeds from the auction of these designs will go to directly to a local charity to support children in the community.
The IB MYP Learning Objectives and Criteria of the project are also outlined.
