The expansion of the pool complex is the largest improvement project the community has seen since the construction of the existing lodge back in 2005. Last year, the community voted to expand the pool complex with a new pool, an additional seating area at the Tiki Bar, restrooms within the complex, a splash pad and a new slide. The community took on this project with a very aggressive schedule. Due to construction materials being in high demand, the pool has hit a few minor delays with the addition of cement and shotcrete. Despite the setbacks, contractors and our own maintenance team have been working extremely hard to get the complex up and running as soon as possible. While we will not hit the total project completion by Memorial Day, we anticipate the new slide, splash pad, Tiki Bar expansion and restrooms to be operating for Memorial Day. The entire complex is expected to be completed for a grand opening during Fourth of July of this year.
The new pool will have a zero depth entry and in water seating areas for more peaceful enjoyment. It will also feature the Masthope competition pool, which will be the future home of the Westcolang Warriors swim team, made up of youth from Masthope Mountain Community and Fawn Lake Forest.

With a deck height of 16 feet and a full spiral, the new slide has now been installed into the deep end of the existing pool. The smaller blue waterslides were relocated to the shallow end for the younger crowd to enjoy, shade sails have been installed, and the diving board remains in place. Seating areas of the existing pool have also been expanded.
