Capturing Aviation's Most Beautiful Moments
Capturing Aviation's Most Beautiful Moments
Capturing airplane photos marked the beginning of my love for journalism. Every Saturday, I would drive to the airport, whether it's 6:30 in the morning or 11:00 at night, just to capture one airplane in a perfect setting. In this gallery, I want to walk you through my most special moments covering the aviation industry, both on the ground and in the air.
Left: a British Airways Airbus A380 landing at Boston Logan International Airport minutes before a thunderstorm arrived.
This is a series of airplane photos I've been waiting my life to capture: planes with special paint schemes that almost never fly to Boston. These airplanes give me the motivation to head to the airport at the most unusual times of day, just so my camera could get a glimpse of their beautiful paint before they head over to their next destination.
Sometimes, when I'm lucky, I capture some perfectly-timed airplane photos -- you'll see what I mean. Out of my five years of aviation photography, these are some of the most exceptional photos I've taken. They remind me why photography is so special to me: I can capture the moments that can't be recreated, and I can relive them in the future.
A photographer's heaven, golden hour is one of the best times for taking photos. For me, golden hour generated some of my best photos and gave me my most magical experiences.Â
