Welcome to my musicianship classes artifact portfolio—a vibrant hub showcasing my journey as a growing artist and scholar in music. Here, you’ll find a collection of artifacts from my musicianship classes, including performance videos, creative assignments, and long-term projects that capture my dedication to mastering the art and science of music. Each artifact reflects the skills I’ve honed, from theory and technique to collaborative performance and innovative composition.
Musicianship has been one of the most important pillars of my growth as a trombonist and as a well-rounded musician. Throughout Musicianship I through IV, I’ve developed more than just technical skills—I’ve built a stronger musical foundation that aligns with who I am and what I value. Each course pushed me to listen more intentionally, read more critically, and engage more deeply with music as both a performer and thinker. That’s why in my music portfolio, I’ve chosen to include separate artifacts for each Musicianship class—because each one represents a meaningful stage in my development, both in the classroom and beyond.
As someone who believes in leading with excellence and intention, musicianship skills aren’t just academic exercises for me—they’re essential tools for expression. Whether I’m performing in jazz ensemble, orchestra, or chamber settings, the work I’ve done in these classes continues to shape how I approach rhythm, harmony, and ensemble awareness. I see musicianship not as a requirement, but as a privilege—an opportunity to strengthen the craft behind the art. It’s made me a more confident collaborator, a more intentional interpreter, and a more responsible artist. My mission has always been to connect with others through sound that’s rooted in compassion, clarity, and hard work—and the discipline and insight gained from Musicianship I–IV have helped me stay true to that mission.
