Students can leverage technology to make connections with other students across the globe or bring professionals into the classroom. Mystery Hangouts bring two classroom together with the goal of finding out where the other school is by asking detailed questions. Students learn map skills, reasoning and logic as they put their knowledge to the test and try to find the other school.
Students at Orchard Park are connecting with classrooms across the United States and playing Mystery Hangouts. In an Mystery Hangout two classroom connect via Google Hangout. Then classrooms ask alternating yes/no questions in an attempt to locate the other classroom. At the end of the event the students can share information about their school and make new friends.

Another activity that brings classes together is a mystery number hangout. In this game two classes connect each with a selected mystery number in mind. The classes exchange yes/no question in an attempt to discover the other's mystery number.
