One way I implemented this initiative was through Teacher Tuesdays. In its early days, it only introduced new teachers, but it eventually grew to the staff sharing quotes on important topics related to their field.

As the year went on, the quotes became increasingly longer and deeper. Teachers told stories, gave advice, and provided guidance. This series started my interest in written journalism.

Another story-telling initiative I incorporated into our social media was Medical Mondays. As COVID cases increased and we encountered the 1-year mark of quarantine, we wanted to show our appreciation for those in the medical field. We reached out to alum via social media to ask for participation in the spotlights.

Within each post, we provided the alum's name, position, and their quote on how COVID has affected their job. We felt it was important to provide quotes from those in the medical field themselves about the struggles of COVID.

The post series was received well on all 3 platforms. It truly showed our gratitude towards those in the medical field and showcased our talented alum.

In addition to telling stories through social media, I have covered school events for the Padua Media Group. While events were minimal due to COVID, most of my coverage has been extensive and timely, posting multiple event pictures within hours of the event taking place. With each social media platform, content differs but still provides accurate coverage.

On our Padua 360 website, we utilize a variety of multimedia tools to portray our stories. In all of my journalism stories, I incorporate at least 1 photo for the cover of the article. However, as my stories lengthened in words, I expanded my use of pictures, infographics, and pull quotes.
