About Me:
Welcome to my studio!
I was born and raised in a small town in Utah in a musical home. I began my own piano lessons at age 3, which was about the same time I began dreaming of becoming a piano teacher some day. By 8th grade I was teaching beginner students before they entered my mother's piano studio. In high school I took a step further on my journey for a career in piano by taking lessons from Dr. Jeffery Shumway at Brigham Young University, who helped me get accepted into the Piano Performance program at BYU. I also had the chance to take lessons in flute and voice from accomplished teachers throughout high school.
I studied Piano Performance at BYU with Dr. Shumway and later Dr. Jared Pierce. I also received instruction in private and group teaching and general pedagogical methods. Through my own playing and learning from so many different piano instructors I have developed various teaching techniques and skills to draw from in my own studio. I graduated from BYU in December of 2018 and am excited to keep my studio growing!
