Recitals:
Halloween: You will get to learn a spooky piece and wear a costume for our very first recital at the end of October!
Christmas: The next recital is Christmas! You will get to pick from most of your favorite Christmas carols.
Duets: At the end of the year you will learn a song to play at the same time as another student. These are really fun and help you get even better at your rhythm!
Composition: Students will all work on writing their own music on the piano. They get to be creative but also better understand music theory as they use it to write music.
Festival: Students will learn 2 pieces: one traditional repertoire and the other modern. They will perform their pieces for judges and receive a score.
Group Lessons:
Games: we do races, board games, team games, etc. to help learn different concepts like note naming, rhythm, and music terms/symbols.
Boomwacker songs and videos:
Look up a boomwacker if you've never seen one before! Here is a link to a video that you follow along to play the song on boomwackers.
