Programme 2024 - 40th Edition
The Ardèche Gorge International Marathon takes place between Vallon Pont d'Arc and Saint Martin d'Ardèche. Two towns in the south of the Ardèche separated by 36 km.
For this 40th edition, we're taking advantage of the long weekend and changing the days of the races. Saturday 9 November will now be the Marathon village and the Rush. Sunday 10 November will be the Ard'river, Challenge and Marathon.
Saturday 9th November at Vallon Pont d'Arc from 10h-22h
Bar, Opening Ceremony and evening meal
Alongside this exhibitors' village, you will find a refreshment bar all day long.
At 7 p.m.: official opening ceremony
From 8 p.m.: Option to buy a meal for the evening will only be available when your book your registration online. There will be a stand offering snack options
Satuday 9th November Vallon Pont d'Arc, 3pm: Rush du pont d'Arc
New this year : everyone welcome to paerticipate on 2 seater sit-on-top kayak
The race is open to those born in 2010 (on the condition that they have an FFCK competition licence.)
Elite race : kayak or canoe, 1 or 2 places or on a single stand-up paddle. There will be staggard start lines starting from 15h.
Race general public : come and discover 1 appreciate the naturel beauty of our region in a safe environment.
Saturday, Pont d'Arc Beach from 6pm to 10pm : Drop off for large boats
(on the beach upstream from Pont d'Arc)
You can leave your boat on the beach for ard'river paddle or challenge (there will be a security presence on the beach through the night).
Sunday 10th November - Pont d'Arc Beach
Find an incomparable atmosphere for the departures of the Ard'river paddle race and the Challenge. There will be small stand selling hot drinks .

Start of the Marathon
Sunday 10th November quai des pescadous at Saint Martin d'Ardèche
Come and cheer on the competitors as they cross the finish line. A great ambiance where you can find refreshments, equipment exhibitors, plus local food and crafts at the "marché gourmand".
7h - Departures shuttle bus for Ard'river paddle and Challenge
9h - Departures shuttle bus for Marathon
11h - first finish
15h - Prize ceremony
Sunday 10 November - Vallon Pont d'Arc from 7 pm
After the race and the emotions of the day, we welcome you from 6:30 p.m. back in Vallon. Enjoy the closing ceremony, a well deserved drink at the bar, a meal and music!
At 7 p.m.: The official closing ceremony with the presentation of prize money to the winners
From 8 p.m.: Evening meal. You will need to puchase you ticket in advance for 17€. Either online when you're booking your race or tickets will be on sale at the VPA stand located in the exhitors village on Saturday.
From 8:30 p.m.: Concert by the pop rock group, RN102. 4 musicians from the Ardèche playing covers to dance and sing along to.
And to end the evening: DJ!
