In this unit I learned about information systems. It's basically a mix of five different things working together which is hardware, software, data, people, and processes. The computer collects and stores the data, but the people and processes make it useful for making decisions or being productive. I use these systems every day when I'm on Pinterest, Spotify, and google Gemini...I just didn't think twice about it.
I feel like Brightspace was pretty easy to use since I was in the ECAP program since 11th grade, but there were some things I discovered such as the data of users. For example, how many times you log on and when, and how long you stay on Brightspace.
This is one of the most important lessons since this translates to real world skills in work, school, and professional settings. I never knew about the rules or subfolders for email, which was a game changer, I was always disorganized with emails, so this is very helpful.
