A different journey in Europe part 2
Inspired by the ancient comedy by Aristophanes, Assemblywomen, we interpret together (in a theatrical key) the story of a modern Praxagoras who proposes to us today the need to give women the right space to build a more just world. Why this modern revival of an ancient comedy dedicated to women? We live in a particular historical period characterized by the marginalization of women in public life, by the imbalance of power between the sexes, by the secular hierarchy which reflects the historical dominance of men over human activities. For this reason, in the modern political debate conditioned by gender equality, female quotas, gender preferences, feminicides and domestic violence, the contribution of the school could not be missing to offer students food for thought on a very important topic.

Alas: in what land have I arrived? Will I find raw, wild without justice or hospitable men, fearing the gods? Ulysses Canto VI
Getting inspired by the ancient Odyssey, together we are writing the story of a modern Odysseus who discover our countries Lliria, Foggia and Igoumenitsa, guided by the Human Rights and the Inclusion. Why ? We live in a particular period in the history of Europe. Due to the pandemic and now the war, the economic crisis rages, countries are buffeted, battered, bleading. Students for two years receive information they struggle to interpret. They are embedded in the information from the media. We want through our educational adventure to help them decode this. The Odyssey is a metaphor of what we are experiencing. The path of Ulysses is full of hardship, suffering, choice, hope, longing for freedom. Who can describe, better than young people their countries, their visions of things, their fears, their expectations. We are three countries and we are united to write this modern Odyssey. We are fortunate to have with us in Greece. Cradle of civilization and democracy. For over half a century, Europe is an area of peace, democracy, respect for human rights. Is this still true? The brown plague is back across Europe, the alien is responsible for everything bad. Tweak the neck to these prejudices and put the right words on the right things.
