Here is a general challenge that can be used at any level and any class. This can be as quick or as long as you see fit.

Sometimes we need to change how we allow our students to express their learning. In this activity, student work in small groups. This can be done in station rotation or as whole class.

Students will read a chapter, article, short story, poem, etc. As they finish each small group will then work together to build a model that summarizes what they just read.

Make sure there is an element of sharing. The expression of learning is vital to completing the learning cycle.
