Welcome back! Today, we’ll apply our knowledge of Human Rights and the UDHR to real-world issues. 🌍
Think back to what we’ve covered so far as you divide into four (4) groups to explore specific Human Rights issues.
Once the class is divided into four groups, each group will read one of the provided articles from “Human Rights Watch.” As you read, focus on these questions:
What are the Human Rights issues highlighted?
Describe the case study or example provided.
What solutions or actions are suggested? (If there aren’t any, can you think of one?)
How do these issues impact different groups globally?
📄 Articles and Videos:
Add any new vocabulary related to your issue to your “Human Rights Vocabulary List,” using the same method we’ve practiced.
Then, summarize the main findings of your article using the questions from step 1 as a guide. You can choose to present your summary as bullet points, short paragraphs, or a combination of both. Remember, this summary will be crucial when you create your brochures later; therefore, the format needs to be suitable for the medium.
