Post-Graduate Certificate in Media Studies and Social Change
A 12-credit certificate for working professionals, activists, artists, and communicators to develop a deeper understanding and practice in media and communications. Students earn this certificate by taking any four courses in our wide range of offerings, from Media Archeology and Media Theory to Digital Hacktivism and Interactive Narrative.
Simply apply as a Non-Matriculated Student, and state your interest in pursuing this certification at your first advisement meeting. The certificate can be earned in a single semester, or as long as four years.
Non-matriculated students take courses "a la carte," and are not working toward a graduate degree. However, non-matriculated students can change their minds and apply for the MA degree program. Credits earned as non-matriculated students will apply to the MA degree.
