International Students

International Applicants

We welcome international applicants, who should visit the International Admissions pages on the Queens College website for information on eligibility, visas, language requirements, and more. The contact information for International Office is on that page, and the people there are more than happy to help you apply, matriculate, and thrive at Queens College.

Some important things for you to know:
1. Applicants whose first language is not English and who were educated in a country where English is not the official language must prove English proficiency by taking a TOEFL, IELTS or PTE exam.  Such students must submit a score of 92 on the TOEFL, 6.5 on the IELTS, or 62 on the PTE.  Students whose scores are below these levels may still be accepted with special conditions, or may be accepted provisionally pending submission of ESL courses.

2. Applicants educated outside of the United States must have their transcripts evaluated by Education Credential Evaluators (ECE) or SpanTran: The Evaluation Company evaluation services. Evaluations must be submitted by one of those services directly to  GradAppDocs@qc.cuny.edu when applying. More information about this can be found at this link

3. If you have a problem with the "postal code" field in your application, enter the postal code 00000
